Before I even had my first cup of coffee this morning I saw this five-star review of my new yakuza thriller PACIFIC POISON posted on Amazon. Great way for an author to start the day!
First review posted on Amazon for Pacific Poison
Feeling fortunate.
It's publication day for Pacific Poison
Very excited to announce that it's publication day for my latest novel, the yakuza Japanese organized-crime thriller PACIFIC POISON.
It took two years to write and edit, but it's finally out there in book world.
Free to Kindle Unlimited members, the book is available on Amazon in ebook and paperback.
PACIFIC POISON is the third book in the Hannah Summers series, following on the heels of the serial-killer thriller Deadly Fare (2016) and the mafia saga Blood Sons (2018). But it can be read as a standalone. Together the three books follow Hannah's career from state police detective to CIA operative.
IN THE JAPANESE UNDERWORLD OF DRUGS, GUNS, AND CRIME… ONE WOMAN HOLDS THE KEY TO TAKING DOWN AN EMPIRE.
Pacific Poison goes live in three days

If you’d like to get to know Hannah Summers from the beginning of her crime-fighting career, check out my first book, the serial-killer thriller Deadly Fare (2016), and second book, the mafia saga Blood Sons (2018).

Co-ownership could be the key to affording a boat
See my story in the April 2020 issue of SAILING Magazine.

Jeanne Socrates, 77, sails around the world alone, non-stop and unassisted
British sailor Jeanne Socrates was 77-years-old when she sailed around the world alone, unassisted and non-stop, becoming the oldest person to do so.
Although her accomplishment in 2019 already has been eclipsed by 81-year-old Australian Bill Hatfield, these two sailors provide inspiration for all those beyond "retirement" who may feel age is a hindrance to living fully.
Here's my story about Socrates, published in the February issue of SAILING Magazine.

Reading from Pacific Poison
At the Indie Author Day event last weekend I was given the opportunity to explain how my latest book, Pacific Poison, came about, and then read the first chapter.
Thankfully my wife videtaped the event in two segments — me explaining and then reading.
Reading from my latest book -- Blood Sons -- at Indie Author Day
I’ll be at the Nahant Public Library in Nahant, Massachusetts on Saturday, Oct. 12, reading my latest at the Indie Author Day event.
Come on down from 4-6 p.m. I'll be among several local and area authors reading from their books. Although my third crime thriller isn't completely finished (hoping to have it done by xmas) you can hear the first chapter of what's tentatively titled Pacific Poison. It's a continuation of the Hannah Summers series and focuses on the yakuza, better known as the organized crime families in Japan.
If you haven't read my first book, the serial-killer thriller Deadly Fare, or my second, the mafia thriller Blood Sons, this is the perfect time to grab a signed copy.
If you'd rather read on your Kindle or iPad, both books are available from Amazon in ebook.

Racing the Figawi
Here’s the online version of my story and photos about racing in the annual Figawi Race from Hyannis to Nantucket on Cape Cod. Such a fun assignment. It was published in the July-August issue of SAILING Magazine.
Beware when the Yakuza come out to play!
When the Yakuza come out to play on the island of Saipan, just about anything can happen. CIA operative Hannah Summers is about to find out!

A five-star review is always an antidote for the blues
Blood Sons racks up another five-star review on a rainy day in May 2019
ANOTHER FIVE STARS for BLOOD SONS ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪
“Just finished reading Blood Sons by David Liscio. Mr. Liscio has a gift for grabbing your attention from the first page to the last and not letting go. He has a knack for seamlessly weaving in the various characters and their stories into the bigger story. I was trying to get chores done around the house, but found myself constantly going back to read a few pages in the book. I know I have an Attention Deficit Disorder, but this was ridiculous.
“I highly recommend Blood Sons and suggest that you get your chores done, clear your schedule, strap yourself in and get ready to go for a thrilling ride. You should also do yourself a favor and order Mr. Liscio's other book, Deadly Fare. You won't be disappointed!”
